Before bubble tea queues became normal, Singapore already knew how to take drinks seriously. Kopitiams have anchored neighbourhood mornings for generations. Kopi-o, teh tarik, iced Milo, barley water, sugar cane juice: everyone has an order, and usually an opinion about where to get it.
Then bubble tea arrived from Taiwan in the 1990s and never really left. Today the island has homegrown brands, international chains, tiny kiosks, seasonal menus, and launch day queues that still manage to surprise people. The details change fast, especially when outlets open, move, and disappear.
Coffee has changed too. Kopitiams are still part of the rhythm, but now they sit beside roasteries, Japanese style cafes, grab and go espresso bars, and neighbourhood spots that turn into regular weekend habits. Some people want a flat white. Some just want a cold kopi and a quiet table.
BBTea.sg exists because finding a drink should be easier than scrolling through old posts and half-updated maps. We pull the basics together, clean them up, and keep improving the directory so you can spend less time searching and more time deciding what to order.
