Classic Milk Tea LiHo Galaxy CC Review

Yesterday I stopped by LiHo at Galaxy CC and did what I always do, ordered their Classic Milk Tea. No deliberating, no browsing the menu, just the usual. This is not some order I made for the sake of trying something new. It is genuinely my regular, the drink I find myself coming back to almost every week when I just want something simple and dependable. Sure, there are days when I am in the mood for cheese foam, brown sugar pearls, taro, pudding, all the fun stuff. But on days like yesterday, when I am just moving around and need a quick drink, a good classic milk tea is really all I need.

I ordered the Classic Milk Tea at 50% sugar with no topping. For me, 50% is the sweet spot. Full sugar can be a bit jelak, especially if I am drinking it in the afternoon, and 0% sometimes makes the drink feel a bit too flat unless the tea base is very strong. This one came out moderate in sweetness, which was exactly what I was hoping for. Not too sweet, not too bland, just that nice middle ground where you can still taste the tea without feeling like you are drinking syrup.

What I appreciated most was that the drink was made exactly as I asked for. Sometimes with bubble tea, even if you order the same thing every week, the taste can vary depending on outlet or who is preparing it. But this cup had a perfect balance. The brewed tea flavour was there, and it did not taste watered down or overly milky. It had that familiar LiHo classic milk tea profile, smooth enough to sip casually but still with enough tea taste to keep it from being boring.

I also skipped toppings this round, which is actually how I prefer this particular drink. No pearls, no jelly, no pudding, no extras. Just straight-up milk tea. I know some people feel bubble tea without toppings is like chicken rice without chilli, but for classic milk tea, I think going without topping lets the drink speak for itself. Plus, when you are walking around or taking the train, it is honestly easier to drink without having to deal with pearls getting stuck in the straw.

The service at the Galaxy CCL outlet was ok. Nothing especially warm or memorable, but also nothing to complain about. The staff took the order, prepared the drink, and everything went smoothly. Sometimes that is really all you need, especially at a bubble tea shop where most people just want to order, collect, and go. The overall experience felt efficient and straightforward.

Taste-wise, I would say this is a solid 5 out of 5 for what I wanted that day. Not because it was some mind-blowing, limited-edition drink, but because it delivered exactly what a regular Classic Milk Tea should deliver. It was moderate, balanced, and reliable. When you have a weekly order, consistency matters a lot, and this cup did not disappoint.

If I had one suggestion for LiHo, it would be to have more promos for loyal customers. Since drinks like this are part of many people’s weekly routine, it would be nice if the brand rewarded regulars a bit more. Maybe more member deals, weekday promos, stamp rewards, or bundle offers. Bubble tea is not exactly something most of us buy only once in a blue moon, so a little loyalty perk would make the experience even shiok.

Overall, my LiHo Classic Milk Tea from Galaxy CCL was exactly the kind of dependable drink I was craving. Simple, familiar, and made right. No topping, 50% sugar, brewed tea base, moderate sweetness, perfect balance. Sometimes the best bubble tea order is not the fanciest one, but the one you know you can keep going back to every week.
