Liho 8 June 2026

Singapore Royal Milk Tea Liho Woodlands Mart Review

I was browsing the Liho menu at Woodlands Mart when I spotted their Singapore Royal Milk Tea, and somehow it caught my eye because I don’t remember seeing it before. Maybe it has been around for a while and I just blur never notice, but the name sounded quite promising to me. I had been in the mood for something with a stronger black tea kind of profile, so anything with Royal Milk Tea in the name naturally made me think it would be quite gao. When the drink came, though, the colour was lighter than I expected. It didn’t look like the deep, strong milk tea I had pictured in my head. Still, after trying it, I would say it was not bad at all. It was a decent, comforting milk tea, just not as robust as I hoped. Also, as someone who buys bubble tea pretty regularly, I really feel Liho should have more promotions or coupons to reward regular customers lah.

This visit was on 8 June 2026, during one of those days when I was simply craving a nice drink. Nothing too dramatic, just wanted something cold and easy to sip on. I usually drink bubble tea about once a week, and I do have around two to three favourite brands that I rotate between depending on where I am and what mood I’m in. Since I was at Woodlands Mart and Liho was convenient, I decided to give this Singapore Royal Milk Tea a try.

I ordered the large size with 25% sugar and no topping. For me, 25% sugar is usually the sweet spot because I don’t like my drinks too sweet anymore. Last time maybe can tahan 50% or 75%, but these days I prefer to actually taste the tea and milk instead of just sugar. I also skipped the pearls or any toppings because I wanted to focus on the drink itself. Sometimes toppings can distract from the actual flavour, especially when you are trying something for the first time.

The drink cost $4.90, which is quite standard for a large bubble tea drink these days. Not exactly cheap, but also not shocking in the current bubble tea world. The staff prepared it quite quickly, probably within 1 to 5 minutes, so no complaints there. The service was friendly too, which always makes the experience better. Even if it is just a quick takeaway drink, a pleasant staff attitude does make you feel a bit more shiok about the purchase.

Taste-wise, the Singapore Royal Milk Tea leaned on the mild side. It had that brewed tea or coffee shop style base, but the tea strength was not very punchy. Since I was hoping for something stronger, I found it a bit too milky for my liking. The milkiness made the drink smooth and easy to drink, but it also softened the tea flavour quite a lot. If you are someone who likes a creamy, mellow milk tea, you might actually enjoy this more than I did. But if you are the type who wants the tea taste to hit first, this one may feel a little gentle.

That said, the drink was made exactly the way I asked for it. The 25% sugar level was correct, there were no toppings as requested, and the overall drink was balanced in a clean, simple way. I always appreciate when the order comes out accurately, especially during busy periods when mistakes can happen. No topping means no topping, and Liho got that right.

Would I buy it again? Maybe, but probably only when I want something safe and comforting rather than something bold. It is the kind of milk tea that is easy to finish, but not necessarily the kind that makes me go wah, must come back tomorrow. I gave it a 4 out of 5 because it was still enjoyable, the service was friendly, preparation was quick, and the drink was made correctly. My only gripe is that I expected a richer tea taste from something called Singapore Royal Milk Tea.

Overall, my Liho experience at Woodlands Mart was pleasant and fuss-free. The drink satisfied my craving, though it didn’t fully meet my expectation of a strong black tea style milk tea. If Liho can push out more regular promotions, app rewards, or coupons for frequent customers, I think it would make loyal drinkers like me even more willing to come back often. For now, this is a decent pick if you like your milk tea smooth, mild, and milky.
